Honest answer first: are we a spa?

Not in the leisure-club sense. If you want a swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room or a whole day in a robe, a hotel or day spa is the right choice, and we would rather tell you now than disappoint you on arrival. What we are is a dedicated Thai massage salon at 11 London Road, Woolmer Green, with qualified Thai therapists, private treatment rooms decorated in red and gold Thai style, a couples room and a treatment room with its own en-suite shower.

Many people search for a “Thai spa” when what they really want is a proper Thai massage, a body scrub or a relaxing treatment for two. If that is you, you are in the right place.

Spa-style treatments we offer

• Thai body scrub (90 min, £135): a natural exfoliating scrub from head to toe, a private rinse in the en-suite shower, then a moisturising oil massage.
• Hot stone massage (90 min, £135): heated stones combined with Thai techniques, for warmth that reaches deep into tight muscles without heavy pressure.
• Thai herbal compress (90 min, £135): steamed bundles of Thai herbs pressed along the body, combined with Thai massage.
• Aromatherapy Thai massage (60 min £70, 90 min £105): flowing oil massage with your choice from our oil menu, at no extra cost.
• Couples massage (60 min £135, 90 min £205, for two): side by side in our couples room, each with your own therapist, style, pressure and oil.
• 4 Hands massage (60 min £140): two therapists working on you at the same time.
• Traditional Thai massage (60 min £70, 90 min £105): the classic clothed treatment with pressure points and assisted stretches.

Create your own spa afternoon

You can make a visit feel like a spa treat without the spa price. Popular combinations include a 90-minute body scrub (£135), a 90-minute hot stone massage (£135), or a 90-minute couples massage (£205 for two) for an anniversary or birthday. If you like very firm pressure, ask for Ashiatsu (walking on the back), which can be included in any massage on request.

What a visit is like

1. You are welcomed in a reception with traditional Thai artwork and a Thai welcome statue.
2. Your therapist asks about your preferred pressure, any injuries and health conditions.
3. Your treatment takes place in a private room. For oil treatments you stay covered with towels except for the area being worked on.
4. For a body scrub, you rinse off privately in the en-suite shower before the finishing massage.
5. Take a moment to sit up slowly before heading home.

Gift vouchers can be for any value or a specific treatment, bought online or in the salon. Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.

Who we are not

We provide therapeutic massage only. We treat adults aged 18 and over, and we do not offer pregnancy massage. Massage is not suitable for everyone. Tell your therapist about any injury, recent surgery, blood-clot history, heart condition, or skin condition before you start. If in doubt, check with your GP first. For an acute injury, see a GP or physiotherapist before booking.

11 London Road, Woolmer Green, Knebworth, Hertfordshire SG3 6JE, on the B197 between Knebworth and Welwyn. It is about 10 minutes from Stevenage and around 11 minutes from Welwyn Garden City in light traffic. We have our own car park behind the shop with room for 6 cars, plus free parking in the adjacent roads.
