What is Thai massage?
Thai massage combines acupressure, rhythmic compression and assisted, yoga-like stretching. It is traditionally done fully clothed on a mat or table, and no oil is used.
What are the benefits of Thai massage?
Thai massage can improve flexibility and range of movement, ease muscle tension and pain, boost circulation and help you relax and sleep better.
How is Thai massage different from Swedish massage?
Swedish massage uses long gliding oil strokes on a table. Thai massage uses pressure points and assisted stretches, usually clothed. We offer both.
What should I wear?
For Traditional Thai massage, wear loose, comfortable clothing, or use the loose clothes we provide. For oil treatments, you undress to your comfort level and stay covered with towels throughout.
How much does a massage cost?
Most 60-minute massages cost £70 and 90 minutes cost £105. Couples massage is £135 (60 min) or £205 (90 min) for two people. Hot stone, herbal compress and body scrub are £135 for 90 minutes.
Is there parking?
Yes. We have our own car park behind the shop with room for 6 cars, plus free parking in the adjacent roads.
What are your opening hours?
We are open every day, Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 8pm.
Do I need to book, or do you take walk-ins?
We welcome walk-ins, but we often get busy, so a quick call first on 07360 276999 saves a wasted journey. Booking online guarantees your time.
Can I add Ashiatsu (walking on the back)?
Yes. Ashiatsu, where the therapist uses their feet to massage your back, can be added to any massage on request and is very popular. Just ask when you book or when you arrive.
Can I have a massage when pregnant?
No. We do not offer pregnancy massage, so please do not book any of our treatments while you are pregnant. A specialist prenatal massage therapist is the best option.
Do you offer lymphatic drainage massage?
Yes. Lymphatic Drainage massage is £70 for 60 minutes or £105 for 90 minutes, and is currently done only by Jane. Ask for Jane when you book online or call 07360 276999.
How do I choose the pressure?
Tell your therapist at the start and at any time during the massage. Pressure can range from light to very firm.
How should I prepare?
Avoid a heavy meal or alcohol beforehand, arrive five minutes early, and tell your therapist about any injuries or health conditions.
What is a couples massage?
Two people are massaged side by side in our couples room by two therapists, at the same time. Each person can choose their own treatment.
Can the massage focus on a problem area?
Yes. Our therapists can tailor any session to specific areas such as the neck, shoulders or lower back.
Is it safe and hygienic?
Yes. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We keep the salon spotless and follow all health and safety guidelines.
