Coming to May Thai Therapy? You don't need to bring anything. For traditional Thai massage we provide loose, comfortable clothing. For oil massages you undress to your comfort level and stay covered with a towel throughout.
For a Traditional Thai massage, no: you stay fully clothed. For an oil massage, it is entirely your choice. Many people remove it so the therapist can work the back without stopping, but you can keep it on and the therapist will work around it. You stay covered with towels throughout.
The rule: always your comfort level
- Traditional Thai: fully clothed, no oil.
- Oil massages: undress to your comfort level. Keep underwear on.
- You are covered with towels and only the area being worked on is uncovered.
- Your therapist leaves the room while you get ready, if you prefer.
Do you take your bra off for a massage?
For oil massage on the back, many women unclip or remove their bra so the therapist can use long strokes, but it is entirely your choice. You stay covered with a towel. For traditional Thai massage you keep your clothes on (we provide loose clothing).
Tips
- Wear underwear you don’t mind getting a little oil on.
- Say if any area is off limits, such as the glutes or feet.
